THE CCV LAUNCHES WEBSITE DURING NATIONAL VOLUNTEER WEEK 2017 On the Occasion of National Volunteer Week 2017, the Community Council on Volunteerism (CCV) of Greater Montreal and its members are proud to launch their new Website: www.ccvmontreal.org.
Founded in 1983, the CCV is a body of salaried professional coordinators and managers of volunteer services; representing health, social service and community agencies. The purpose of the Council is to promote volunteerism in the community and to enhance the profession of managers or administrators of volunteer services and programs. As coordinators of volunteer services, we all face similar challenges. The Council provides a forum to network and share tools and strategies. Participation through active involvement is what makes CCV effective. Our work enables us to act as stronger advocates for volunteerism within both our own agencies and the community at large. We hope the site will be a useful resource for potential and existing members, volunteers and those seeking volunteer opportunities in the Greater Montreal, as well as a source of information about volunteerism and volunteer management to the general public. Last, but not least, we wish to acknowledge the incredible efforts of the volunteers within our 25 CCV member's agencies and say THANK YOU. National Volunteer Week is a great opportunity to take time to recognize volunteers and celebrate the power of volunteerism in our community.
