What is CCV?
The Community Council on Volunteerism (CCV) of Greater Montreal members are managers of volunteer services employed by community-based organizations and health and social service sector agencies to provide planning and administration of volunteer programs and direct service to clients. Membership is capped at 25.
The CCV is a membership organization whose strength and effectiveness rest not solely on numbers but, more importantly, on the depth of the involvement of its members.
The purpose of the CCV is to promote volunteerism in the community and to enhance the profession of managers or administrators of volunteer services and programs. As coordinators of volunteer services, we all face similar challenges. The CCV provides a forum to network and share tools and strategies. Participation through active involvement is what makes CCV effective. Our work in CCV enables us to act as stronger advocates for volunteerism within both our own agencies and the community at large.
The CCV holds 6 meetings annually. Meetings are held at the Montreal General Hospital (Montreal, Quebec, Canada).
